Noisy, Runs too often -- returned it.

Cons: Loud cooling fan cycles on/off about every 30 seconds.

The Bottom Line: Don't buy it unless you can put it somewhere where no one will hear it turning on/off every minute.

I saw this unit on display at the local Lin&Thgs and nominated it to my wife as my birthday present. It is a nice looking unit, and I've been wanting to keep my red wine at a more appropriate temperature.

First problem was the instruction that the unit's thermo-electronic cooling system works most efficiently in a room temperature of 70 deg. F or less. Now who has a room that cold!? Certainly not in South Florida!

Well, I plugged it in anyway and inserted the recommended minimum load of 3 bottles of wine. Right off I noted that the 'Silent Thermo-Electronic' cooling was anything but. It is noisier than my full-sized side-by-side refrigerator (due to its high-speed fan). I could live with that assuming it ran rarely. But sadly the unit runs irritatingly often. Refrigerators should kick on, run the temperature a bit below the set-point, and then turn off until the temperature exceeds the set-point (called 'hysterisis') so they do not start and stop too frequently. This unit ignores that design point. It literally starts and stops once every 30-60 seconds, running each time for 15-30 seconds. This constant cycling is very annoying. I tried 60 degrees, then 68 degrees (the house is only 8 degrees warmer at 76 degrees!). Still cycled way too often.

I'm going to return it.
