It includes a gold tone filter that many folks love but I find a chewy effect to the last cup since a #4 paper filter keeps the grounds out of the coffee cup. They also including a filter for your water if you do not have your water filtered at home, as we have whole house filtering. Good water makes a good cup of coffee.
It is all buttons with no dials, one to program & set and one to start at anytime yourself. You can also do 1-4 cups if you are not a 12 cups drinker like me. And it does heat the pot very well so a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee awaits you as your good morning award.
Macy's has it on sale for 50% off, so the $200.00 unit is only $99.99 and well worth it. It is very easy to take out of the box, put the filter into the holder, rinse the pot out, add coffee beans to the grinder, and set the time of brew or go ahead & push the left button to brew now. 12 cups of freshly filtered water makes the greatest cups of coffee and watch your mood change for the better.
