Pros: lightweight, removable filter insert and keeps the coffee warm. Brews very quickly.
Cons: #4 filter placement difficult causing overflows, carafe screw top is difficult & carafe cleaning difficult.
Updt 1/7/08; well we are still using it and it does a decent job. Overall, it doesn't keep it as warm as we thought it would. The top is still a pain when trying to screw it back on. One item we discovered is that the top of the carafe, including the small ball on top, comes completely apart for cleaning. Overall, at this juncture not bad, but I am not too sure I would buy another one.
Keeps the coffee warm over a period of time and is easy to use and set-up.
The water mark is positioned on the left side and controls on the base are set in such a way that you can move the base without accidently turning them on.
Lightweight & durable (so far), but if i read the other reviews, one can only wonder about the reliability.
There is a water escape hole in the back if you overfill the reservoir. If you do get ready for the flood!
The removable filter insert is a nice touch without having to remove the entire filter door. Just need to make sure you align in properly. Although it uses #4 filters, it needs to be watched when inserting as they can easily fold over and then clog the drip release causing spillage (some other reviewers have cited this). It doesn't take much to clog the auto start/stop release dispenser. That release seems abit chincy for the cost of this product as perhaps they are overselling the name with this model.
The carafe screw on top takes some getting use to as it easily misthreads when clamping it down on the carafe and the carafe itself is not so easy to clean as it has a very small opening.
