hoots's Full Review: Cuisinart DGB-600 10-Cup Coffee Maker
This is the best tasting coffee that I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. I think some of these negative issues other people are having with cleanup is being a little lazy. Its no big deal cleaning this thing up. As far as the looks, I like the stainless steel appearance. Why would you brew a pot at 6am and let it sit dirty till you come home from work, when cleanup can be accomplished in less than 30 seconds. I use the gold mesh filter, don't mess with the paper ones. I'm more into the performance of the machine. I purchased mine over a year ago, and had many problems with it, but lived with it. In fact, I purchased another one just like it last week to replace the faulty one. Anyhow, today I called Cuisinart and spoke to a very nice lady there and told her I purchased mine over a year ago, I have no receipt anymore, and never registered it with them. To my astonishment, she told me she will be sending me a brand new one out today, and when it arrives, please send back the old one. The new one will be sent at no charge to me. Now is this customer service or what. Can anyone ask for anymore than this from a manufacturer. Anyways, my coffeemaker issues were as follows: If you tried to make 10 cups of coffee, a full pot, it would only make about 2 cups, and you would still have 8 cups of water left. Ok, no big deal, just hit grind off and push the on button again. It didn't get to be a real pain till you had to do this 6 and 7 times to get 10 cups. The other issue was the pop out door wouldn't stay latched while brewing. When it popped out, it would make a real mess, coffee and water all over the place. My new one I purchased last week is working just fine so far. I have no doubt, Cuisinart will make it right if it should go wrong. Just another note, I use my grind and brew very hard. I drink up to 2 pots per day, or equivalent to 20 cups. I bought it for the taste, and by golly I got it!!!
