Cons:Lousy Warranty, company does not stand behind its products.
The Bottom Line: Buy from a reliable company
I used to buy Cuisinart products, usually Cuisinart producst are very good, sadly the company is not. I have bought more than one Grind and Brew coffee maker, in fact I was shipping them overseas to GIs. Not anymore. I recently had a grind and brew - 650 shipped overeas to me at a military post (we use 110) the system did not work ( suspect blown fuses) I called and wrote cuisinary for replacement fuses or a replacement system below is their lousy response:
Valued Customer, We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Please note that this unit is wired for use within the US only. We do not recommend the use of these units outside of the US, even when used with a converter, adapter, or transformer. In addition, there is no warranty that applies to this unit when used outside of the US.
So basically, thanks for buyin our giant paperweight, we couldnt care less.
I called customer service, the guy on the other ends said "your warranty is void because you took it out of the US" . No gee Im sorry sir, no let me see what I can do, just basically telling me how they are going to get out of a replacement. Ok, so im out the $129 bucks, I'll live. The question is how much can the company afford? I wil never buy another cuisinart, ever. DO NOT BUY company does not stand by its products, uses weasely techniques to void warranty, the customer service was awful.
