These Cummins Industrial tools are sold a couple times a year locally by a traveling display that offers some pretty decent bargains in a variety of tools, mostly made in China. They set up their display at the local VFW hall and have everything ranging from light hand tools to big heavy shop machines, all available for cash prices out the door. The tools vary in quality from very, very good to so - so and you should only buy things you know about from a company that is here today and gone tomorrow. The Cummins brand name is the main brand and it is on stuff they buy from China or other foreign countries.
The air tanks are sold by volume, apparently the amount of liquid a similar tank would hold. This one is five gallon capacity, and there are also ten and 30 gallon varieties available, as well as other capacities besides. The thing to remember is it just is a way to hold air, at up to 125 pounds air pressure, but a larger tank is still larger and heavier and the highest capacity tanks are probably not as useful as a 5 or 10 gallon size since they only hold enough to inflate a few tires and are portable so you can carry them where needed. Too big also equals too heavy in this instance unless you really need the size.
The air tank is useful for somebody with limited space or who doesn't have an air compressor for inflating tires, air mattresses, inner tubes, beach toys, etc. The tank is taken to a service station, tire shop, or your friend's house and filled with compressed air through the inlet valve. This inlet valve has a shut off valve that must be turned on after the tank is filled to keep it from leaking back out. Once you have the tank filled to capacity and shut off the valve, it will hold air a good long time.
The 5-Gallon Air Tank can be taken anywhere and easily fits in your back seat or trunk. It holds up to 125 psi compressed air and can easily be transported to remote locations to where it is needed.
The features include 1) an air line shut-off valve with pressure relief valve, 2) pressure gauge and 3) pressure tank, 4) 4 ft. air hose with air chuck, all included for the price.
The Air Pressure Gauge is connected with the fill valve and shows the pressure that remains in the tank. The gauge is easy to read.
The Air Shut Off Valve keeps the air in the tank once you've inflated it and keeps air from leaking out of the tank when not in use.
The Pressure Tank is rated at 125 psi pressure and is rated for safety. Pressure can be stored indefinitely in this tank.
The Flexible Hose and Universal Adapter. You need an air hose and connector and that is included. This is the business end of the hose and is used for inflating car tires, bike tires, basketballs, and other sport balls, inner tubes, etc.
These portable air tanks are a good thing to have to keep some air available for pumping up your tires as needed.
