Thank you all for the welcomes and comments. I agree that for many people, Curves simply will not offer enough to be attractive. I have to admit that if the one in Pikesville did not have so many machines, and the shower, my review rating might have been lower. And I expect that eventually I will have to start going more than three times a week, or else make more than two loops around the circuit. For me, it's well worth it to actually want to go to the gym! Those other gyms were great and offered a lot more, but obviously if I wasn't motivated to show up, I wasn't getting my money's worth at all.
Thanks again.

Great Review (Reply to this comment)

This was a really good review. Welcome to Epinions. I look forward to reading more from you in the future.
I have tried Curves for about a month, but have found that I prefer other gyms. I really don't want to be limited in how much time I can spend on any machine and which machines I use.
The lack of shower facilities is also a negative point in my book. I often work out before going to work and I really don't want to arrive sweaty and stinky. Not that I've every really worked up a sweat at Curves.
I wonder if our resident personal trainer Jo reads this. I really would like to know what she has to say.
