| pfonseca's Full Review: Curves For Women |
I started at Curves for Women over 3 years ago. I started off well at first, and lost about 10 pounds, but then stopped going and gained it all back plus more. I went to 186 pounds. I got the courage to go back and it took a while, but I am now under 140 pounds. I participated in the Curves 6 Week Challenge to adjust my diet and lifestyle also. In addition to going to Curves, I also started drinking lots of water and watching what I eat, somewhat. The machines are easy to learn and the music is upbeat. I had tried other places, but always had to adjust the machines and sometimes forgot even how to operate them. I was intimidated and uncomfortable being so overweight and around a bunch of athletic young people at other places, but at our Curves, everyone is nice and supportive. At our Curves, there are incentives for exercising and losing weight, trivia contests, and games to keep it fun.
