Pros: cushy soft, convenient size, good for travel, makes an excellent gift, fun stress reliever
Cons: I leaned the pillow against something sharp, and it left an indentation in the fabric.
The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line wants a Cush Pillow of its own. It promises to behave itself it I buy it one. Should I believe it?

| dlstewart's Full Review: Cush Pillow |
When I saw these Cush Pillows, I could not resist them. At first I thought of my parents, who would love the squishy, soft feel of these pillows. So I purchased them as gifts. When I saw how much my parents enjoyed their pillows, I had to buy one for me! Then a wonderful friend had a birthday, and I knew I had to buy her one of these Cush Pillows.
Description
These pillows are an oval shape resembling a fat stuffed tube. They measure 15" long x 6" wide. Each nylon pillow shell is filled with polystyrene microbeads. Also, each pillow comes in a clear plastic sack with a drawstring that is the same color as the pillow. The pillows come in a variety of colors: pink, blue/purple, light aqua, pink, orange, green, red, yellow, black and gray.
My Experiences
These pillows looked intriguing sitting in a big bin the store. The pillows looked well filled and yet seemed soft and flexible. I also liked the protective clear plastic cover with the drawstring ... it made an attractive packaging. Yet I hesitated. I wondered if they would they be comfortable.
Then a woman pushed her shopping cart past me. She stopped and turned toward me. I have one of those. It is the most comfortable pillow I own. I wouldnt be without it! That sold me. The hardest part was choosing which colors to pick. I opted to buy my mother the light aqua color pillow and my father the blue/purple color.
They loved them! It didnt take long for my father to open the drawstring and pull his pillow free. He uses it either behind his head or as a wedge between his arm and the side of the chair. He finds it molds well around his head and says it is the only pillow he can use in his recliner that doesnt cause him discomfort.
It took my mother a week before she freed her pillow from the packaging. She thought the color so pretty that she didnt want to get it dirty! The first thing she commented on was how soft and huggable the pillow was to hold. The fabric covering just begs to be touched since it is so soft. My mother uses her Cush Pillow under her forearm when her arm becomes sore from arthritis.
The memory foam pillow I slept on caused me to have a lot of arm pain. (The memory foam pillow was a bonus gift with the mattress topper I purchased.) Im not positive, but I think the memory foam pillow caused a pinched nerve. My mother suggested I try her Cush Pillow to add a soft, insulating layer between my arm and the hard arm of my computer chair. It worked! My arm felt much better. So the next day I drove to the store and purchased myself a pink Cush Pillow.
When my friends birthday loomed close, I immediately thought of how much I loved this pillow. I zipped over to the store, and sure enough, they still had some. I waffled between colors and finally chose the blue/purple color. I sent the pillow via UPS, and it arrived in good condition. My friend sent me an e-mail saying that she is finding many uses for her Cush Pillow. She has used it in chairs both at home and at work as well as a back support in her car while driving. She loves her pillow, too!
I dont put my pillow through hard use, and the fabric has held up well. There is one exception ... I must have leaned the end of the pillow into something with an edge. Now there is a slight indent in the fabric that will not smooth free. There are no rips, though a few pet hairs are clinging to the fabric.
This pillow is fun to just hold on the lap. The way the microbeads shift and move inside the pillow is a natural attraction for the fingers. The soft nylon pillow covering makes this pillow a joy to use. The manufacturer suggests that this pillow can be used as a stress reliever, and I believe it. Fingers just gravitate toward the squishy feel of this pillow.
Cleaning & Care
The tag at the end of the pillow contains washing instructions. They say: Soft clean with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or dry clean.
There are a few other cautions such as do not use this pillow in a crib, and keep the pillow away from children and infants.
The tag also says, Throwing, stomping or putting too much weight on your Cush may cause the fabric to tear and the beads to leak out. It also cautions to keep the pillow away from anything sharp that could tear the pillow fabric.
Yet another warning states not to let the microbeads enter the eyes, nose, ears or mouth. If this does happen, the manufacturer says to immediately rinse them out. If needed, seek medical attention.
Purchasing
I have seen these Cush Pillows for around $11.00. I bought these pillows at B.Js Wholesale Club for about $10.00. When I purchased mine, the price rang up as $8.99. The next time the price was back to normal.
Summary
These Cush Pillows were a fantastic buy. Everyone who has seen them loves them! I use my pillow every day. It has become my favorite pillow. I would buy another one in a second.
I hope you have found this review useful.
Enjoy your day,
