Cons: Shipping costs
The brand is outstanding in quality. It's also wonderful that we can still purchase something that represents the quality that was synonymous with "Made in the USA".
I have knives purchased in 1994 that still look brand new. Just rinse them off and place them in the dishwasher.
I use the trimmer more than any other knife I own. It will cut meat, fruit , and vegetables equally well.
Also, if you damage a knife fro normal use, Cutco will replace or repair the knife free of charge. This sounds like you can't go wrong. - except for the surprise that comes at the end of completing your order - THE SHIPPING CHARGES ,,,,,,
Sadly, this company ships based on price and not weight. Four knives that total over three hundred dollars can cost over $30 in shipping, when actual cost would represent less than ten dollars Priority mail to ship. In addition, they charge the tax after the shipping charges have been included.
In addition, they aren't fast getting the product to you. You would think for the price that it would arrive in days instead of weeks.
Cutco should charge a fair mark up on shipping to cover the cost, but don't make your profits dependant on making money to ship. The product is good enough to stand on its own.
