Okay, I've told of my son's perchance for destruction now it's my turn to fess up-it runs in the family. I had one of those clip on microphones for the computer. My tower is on the floor and the input is on the front of the tower. Well, one day I got up caught the wire with my foot and it ripped out of the microphone. I went to replace it but it was out of stock and the Cyber Acoustics CVL-1064 consumer microphone was the only option for what I wanted.

The first few times I used it, it was okay. Nothing spectacular but I didn't expect greatness for $12.00. Then it stopped working. Just like that. I made sure it was plugged in and just in case I was having a "duh" moment, I made sure it was turned on. Yep, on both counts. I then blew into the microphone and I'll be darned it recorded it. Great, I thought. Then I recorded my voice and nothing came out. I blew into it again and it recorded it.
From the other reviews on this product it seems the technology that goes into this microphone is scattered and if you think about it, a little bit scary.
