Every year the trees got larger and I got older...reached the point where I couldn't get the job done any longer without help. We have about 1.5 acres with many mature pine and small leaf oaks. The Cyclone Rake has been a "life saver" and allows me to have the nicest yard in the neighborhood each fall. I've had my machine for over 10 years now and each fall I remove about 30 loads of leaves and the machine has been maintenance free to this point. I pull it with an old 14hp John Deere which is more than adequate.
There's still a lot of work involved, especially if you can't dump and drive off like in the video. If you have to pile on the edge of the street as I do, you are forced to do a lot hand unloading and that can get tiresome and dusty. The leaves are packed in the hopper real tight, but it's doable...even at age 70. If you have a leaf problem and are contemplating a purchase...I say, buy it...you want regret it. It's high quality, well desiged, and American made. One note of caution. You have to be careful working around trees and other structures. If you go around an object and cut back too quickly, the collection hopper will hit the object possibly causing damage.
