Pros: quick change speeds and dust eject
Cons: none yet.
Using to plane over 3500 bd ft of cherry and oak and about 800 bd ft into the project and the only issue is the common feed problem (which actually is not a machine problem at all I am finding). The bed builds up with dust (can't see it in the pores) but the friction it causes will nearly stop the board from feeding properly and have to shove it through. Get some steel bed lube spray (several available) and apply it. It is seriously like getting anew machine - I was amazed. I am planing 9-11 ft long 6-10" wide rough sawn.
