Pros: quick, effective, guaranteed!
Cons: possible stench from decaying dead bodies; they usually don't make it outside to die.
The basement rats made it upstairs about a week ago, and that was enough to finally take serious action. We saw at least 3 rats in a row, making it to a hiding place, every day until today. With the 4 boxes of D-Con placed in various areas (2 in the basement - 2 upstairs), one location on ea. floor was eaten from. Today is day 3 or 4, and no sign of the rats and it seems that nothing was eaten from the fresh supply of the poison at the main eating station. One thing remains: When will we smell the results? I sure hope they made it outside, but they usually don't. From the looks of things, I do recommend D-Con if you are at your wits end and have perhaps tried other things, including electromagnetic plug in devices, that usually don't work! After all, rat traps are not guaranteed to kill them and they will suffer for too long; too messy to bother with.
