sadonna's Full Review: D-link DIR-628 Wireless Router
This is the first wireless router that I have ever bought. My husband helped me pick it out because we have four computers in our household and wanted to be able to support all of them on our DSL internet service. One of the most important features was the fact that it is dual band so we can use it on the 5.6 GHz instead of the 2.4 because that is what our cordless phone uses and we did not want them to interfere with each other. We also wanted to be able to hook up my mom's computer when we finish her cabin and it sits about 500 ft from the main house so we needed something that could transmit a long enough distance to include her in the network. We have not had any issues with our system working other than having four computers sometimes make downloading games or watching movies a bit slow. We had to call the technical support line to get help in setting up our network but the technician was friendly and helpful and we had in running in a jiffy. I was a bit skeptical at first because technical support personnel are usually hard to deal with and dreadfully slow but the service we received was great so I was pleasantly surprised. The price of the router was 79.00 from Tiger Direct which is comparable to other venders for this model.
