Network cameras is a new product category that I like very much. My company uses them to remotely monitor server rooms and other equipment. I also use them at home. They connect directly to your IP network, and in this case, via an 802.11b wireless connection.
Great concept, but this product has such a bad image quality and slow video compared to what I am used to, that I cannot recommend it unless the wireless connection is essential. And even in this case, I would consider to use a wireless bridge and connect a higher quality network camera, such as the AXIS 2100 or AXIS 2120. D-Link also has an ethernet connected camera, but it has the same quality problems and is overshadowed by similar products from AXIS.
