Pros:The price is right! Range is good. Speed is good (for G).
Cons:A little difficult to setup. Upgrade the firmware
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the Dlink DIR-615 for those that are computer and router savvy
I've had this router for about a week. I saw a bunch of bad reviews, but the price was right and thought I would try it out. It was a little difficult to setup (I wouldn't suggest it if this is your first experience with setting up a wireless router). You should be computer and router savvy. Once setup it worked like a charm until the next day when it had to be reset. And then reset again the next day. There were no error messages, just no connectivity. It was at that point that I decided to upgrade the firmware. This, too, was a little tricky. The instructions on the Support site weren't exactly accurate and I had to call Support to get help figuring that out. Once the firmware was upgraded it has worked flawlessly.
I have a rather long, two story house and am having no trouble getting connectivity within the whole house. Even my Wii that is tucked away at one end of the house gets connected without trouble.
A word of warning about the packaging. The box said that the firmware was 1.10 (which is the latest as of 12/07/07). However, the router was actually at 1.00. Believe the the firmware as noted on when you sign into the router itself.
