a Somewhat Helpful Review

We bought this range and have liked it except that I have had to have service calls twice in the 1.5 years that I have owned it. The first was for a defective burner that the covering exploded. Covered under warranty. But after only a year and a half, 3 of the burner backlighting knobs have burnt out or do not work properly. There is apparently no easy fix. Do you want to have a service call every year to replace lights for a $10,000 appliance. I would not buy this range again. My wife like the range because of the smaller dacor badging. I like it except that now I have had two different problems and a 1 year warranty. At least Wolf gives you a full 2 year warranty and a limited 5 year warranty. Obviously with half of the lights going out within a year and a half there is something wrong with my Dacor range. I wish I had bought a competitor. Dacor was good about replacing the defective burner. I will have to see if they realize they have a problem with their product. I was an early customer and the backlit burners were new to the model that I bought. With 3 out of 6 not working within a year and a half I believe this is unacceptable. And they are now now covered under warranty.
