So I have this Dacor wall oven installed in my Kitchen for over two years now and here is the scoop:
Recommend this product?
Good: This is a great looking wall oven. It is really sleek, contemporary and matches the rest of my stainless steel appliances in our kitchen. We also have a Dacor Range top and we decided to purchase the copper package which gives both the wall oven and cook top matching copper accents. Control panel is really easy to use but takes some time getting use to. Lots of cooking options including convection, broil, bake, etc. - Has the obvious light inside which turns on and off easily with the touch control.
Best part about the oven and control which I would love to highlight is the "Dacor Guide" control. So this is how this works. Oven comes with a meat probe. You connect this inside the oven (Small Jack) and than you place it inside the meat or anything else you would like to cook. Than you go to the control and choose from the menu exactly what you are cooking and how you like it cooked. Start the oven it cooks it to prefection - I mean to perfection. I use this once a month with a London Broil and my kids think its as good as any restaurant they have ever eaten in.
Bad and Ugly: Hate to knock this piece of work but I have no choice. This absolutely boggles my mind. For the amount of money I paid or anyone pays for this oven for them not to figure a way to stop dirt from coming between the two glass's on the top and bottom door is a travesty. So the way most of these oven are constructed is the door is made up of two thick glass sheets that is attached to the stainless steel door - There is a space in between though. I for the life of me cannot understand how they manufacture this to allow dirt and grease to get in between the glass with no real way to clean it. I had them replace it once for me but guess what - One year later it looks exactly like the one they replaced.
So yes while this looks and cooks great it is so annoying and stands out the dirt that gets stuck in between the glass doors.
If i would do this again this would not be my choice!!!
Good Day and Happy cooking to you all
