Quite recently Damon's has opened one of their restaurant's in our neighborhood. Lexington didn't know what it was missing until Damon's arrived. After hearing many good things from friends who had frequented the new eatery I decided to take my husband there for his birthday.
What a terrific choice for both of us. The menu was varied and the prices were wonderful. We were offered a choice of seating and were glad to have the opportunity to choose a more quite atmosphere. For a Wednesday night the establishment was extremely busy. The staffing was adequate and the management seemed to have things under control.
Our waiter was the most friendly and courteous gentleman I have encountered in some time in my dining out experiences. I was very impressed as he made us feel quite comfortable, never interrupting our conversation but remained quite attentive to our needs. This was a very refreshing experience for both my husband and myself.
We were also offered a wonderful dessert for the special occasion at no additional charge. It was all very pleasant and the food was exceptional. This is one restaurant that we will plan to frequent often.
Food:
The spareribs were tender, meaty and the sauce was delectable. It offered wonderful flavor without overwhelming the taste of the meat. The prime rib was cooked to order and quite succulent. They offered many choices of side dishes and the macaroni and cheese that I selected was terrific.
We received a free dessert and chose to have a piece of pie. The name escapes me, although I do remember the chocolate sauce and whipped cream topping it was rich and delicious.
Decor:
The decor was warm and inviting. We don't go for the loud game playing so opted for the more quite booth in the dining section. I have heard many say that they offer the interactive trivia games which seem to be quite popular.
