I really like my Danby dishwasher. It fits under the counters and the little lip in the back (you can see it in the picture) allows it to be pushed right back with out pinching cords or hoses.
It does a great job of cleaning the dishes, but I do need to rinse them reasonably well. Unlike a full-size dishwasher, you can't leave food sitting on the plates for days and expect them to come out clean! There is a pre-rinse setting that I occasionally use if I am not going to actually wash the dishes. This rinses them well, but I find it just as easy to do a quick rinse right away under the tap.
Mine is almost a year old and I find it a bit noisy, okay quite noisy, and it seems to have become that way since I bought it. I have a friend who just purchased a new one and it is very quiet. I wonder if I just got a lemon.
For an apartment dweller, or the like, who has no room for a larger rolling portable dishwasher, or no need for the capacity of a larger model, I would definitely recommend this dishwasher. I have 2 small children and there is enough room in there to hold all of our dinner dishes. I put on a load of pots and pans separately after the main dishes are done.
It uses less water than I would use in the sink doing dishes, and washes at an extremely high temperature if you use the sani-wash feature (I recommend this).
All in all, my only complaint is the noise, and as I said I think I have a bit of a lemon in that area!
