Good Fast Greek Food

Pros: Avgolemo Soup is wonderful, and so is the Greek Salad!
Cons: Service from the kitchen can be slow at times.
The Bottom Line: Don't miss Daphne's if you're in the mood for Greek Food!

I'm not Greek, but I love Greek food. I can't tell you if Daphne's food tastes like what someone's Greek Mama would make. But, I know I love it!
Daphne's restaurants have a walk up counter, where the patrons order food, and then wait for it to be served, either to their table, or to take away ("to go").
The menu features mostly standard Greek items such as; gyro sandwiches, Greek salad, stuffed grape leaves, chicken,and pita bread. I have to say I've never been served a bad meal at any location I've visited. The two that are within driving distance are Redondo Beach, Calfornia, which is just off the 405 at Inglewood Avenue, and Torrance, California, which is near Pacific Coast Highway and Crenshaw Blvd.
Sometimes the wait is long, especially at the Torrance location, but, the food is worth the wait. The Greek salad is tasty and fresh. I usually get a combo plate, but, I can never seem to get out of there without ordering a bowl of Avgolemo Soup! It's a simple soup, mostly made with chicken broth, rice, and lemon, but the blend of flavors is out of this world!
The staff is not Greek, but they do seem to have good knowldege of the menu items, and how they are prepared and served.
If you like Greek food, give Daphne's a try!
