DeLonghi Coffee Mill Falls Short (Reply to this comment)
by sccs
My experience is very similar to Alex's. When set on "Fine" the result is not uniform. Althought some of the ground coffee is fine, it is mixed with what appears to be chunks of the exterior of the coffee bean. This is disappointing as I recently purchased Gevalia coffee which requires a fine grind for the drip blends. Surprisingly, I've had very good results with my 10 year old small Krups single blade grinder.

I felt much like you when I first used the grinder... but as I explain in my review, you can grind the beans twice on the finest setting to get a grind that is good for espresso.

By just reading this review I can smell the fresh ground coffee. I love that smell!
Very nice review ... I look forward to reading more by you.

Alex, I like to think of myself as unique. I can tell you that I am not Mormon.
I like chocolate so prefer chocolate milk or hot cocoa. I cannot stand the smell of coffee on someone's beath, that was enough to know I did not want to try it. Plus I was a smoker for 15 years
The review is fine with the details. Bonnie

Bonnie,
You've never tried coffee? You're either Mormon, or a VERY unusual person! My hat is off to you in either case!
Do you think it needs more explanation?

Even if this product was not what you expected you covered lots of details on how it is to be used.
I must admit that this is over my head because I have never tried coffee in all my 42 years.
If only I knew what a burr grinder or blade is.
Continued good luck here at the site and I hope to read more as the summer progresses.
