This is one of the few tools I could not live without. Since receiving this drill, I have used it almost daily in all sorts of household tasks.
I received this drill as a Christmas gift from my father. It came with 2 14.4 Volt rechargeable batteries and the drill, all in a protective carrying case.
I have used this DeWalt tool to perform all kinds of tasks, from small to large. I have drilled holes for picture frames, put screws into a deck, unscrewed light fixtures, and drilled holes in concrete. This drill has been able to accomplish anything I have asked of it. It is easy to operate. Changing speeds is very simple, and controlled by a dial on the rear. Changing bits is even easier, with the keyless chuck. The batteries have also been sufficient, and I have never run out of power. I have had this drill for one year with no problems. I suspect that it will hold up well over time, based on my experience with quality DeWalt products.
I would highly recommend this drill to anyone looking for a general use drill. Whether for household or on the job use, I think it would perform wonderfully. I may not, however, be powerful enough for heavy duty construction use, such as repeated drilling into concrete or cement.
