This is the third Dewalt drill/ saw combo I have owned. Although I have used them all heavily and sometimes abuse them heavily, the drills and saws continue to perform flawlessly.
I have owned other brands of cordless drills. Makita and Craftsman were the most recent brands. These drills just didn't hold up to my abuse. Besides the lack of durability, the Makita trim saw is too small to cut a 2X4, much less anything larger. The Dewalt is also more powerful than Makita. This is very important if you need to drill large holes.
I like the power, durability, weight, balance, variable clutch and stainless chuck of the drill. The power, weight and versatility of the saw are excellent. The saw comes in handy so often, it is hard to imagine getting along without it.
I use this combo in my work as a licensed contractor. Cheap, unrealiable products make my job very difficult and frustrating. Dewalt products just don't let me down.
I don't know what else I could ask for in a cordless drill/ saw combo.
