Pros: none
Cons: heavy, less energy than 18volt battery
The Bottom Line: Don't get it. Heavier, bigger, cost more, and delivers less power than the Dewalt 18volt battery.

My 24volt saw cuts less wood than my 18volt saw, and weighs more. The 24 volt battery is only 1.7 amp hr and the 18volt is 2.4 amp hr. I cannot understand why they sold such a product... bigger, heavier, more expensive, and delivers less work than the 18 volt system.
This battery gets hot while using it and must cool down before it will recharge. I have two batteries and you cannot cut continuously with two batteries. It takes an hour sometimes for the battery to cool down before it will start charging.
The newer model 24 battery has a fan to cool it... I can understand why. But it still contains no more energy than the 18volt battery.
Get the 18volt 6" saw, not the 24 volt unit.
