Helen MacInnes is the queen of romantic mysteries and "Decision at Delphi" is my favorite. If you enjoy travel and suspense all of her books are great. "Decision at Delphi" is about an architect who gets involved in a Communist plot in Greece. Ken Strang is a well-informed world traveller, who gets involved over his head. There are so many wonderful moments where the author looks down her nose at tourists and well-meaning, naive Americans. She knows how to poke fun at herself, too. She has such a warm and yet English tone in her descriptions of people and countries.
I would recommend all of her books. Next would be "Neither Three nor Five."
