I am absolutely terrified of bugs. Small ones and big ones. So stopping myself from being bitten is not the only reason i use Deep Woods Off! insect repellent. Its also to keep those little blighters away from me. sounds pathetic, but i think you'll find i am not the only one to feel this way. They are extremely cheeky little organisms. Not only are they incredibly irratating - you know that buzzing thing they do around your ears? And the way they keep flying into your face and sometimes your mouth? And then the final straw is that they bite you and cause grief for the next week while you have these bumps on your skin, which are not only unsightly but also extremely itchy and uncomfortable. Just plain rudeness.
But joking apart, this lotion rubs in really quickly. It is not heavy on your skin, and unlike most insect repellents, is not particulary smelly, and whats most important is that it really does do the business. Suitable for those of the camping mind, or for those just wishing to sit outside and be left alone. It is non greasy and extremely easy to apply. however obviously you cannot put it on clothing and hair, so it is really only of use for your skin. So the good thing to do to be safe from the little devils, is to buy a spray as well.
the only thing i might warn about is the sunscreen part. Yes, it is a sunscreen but i would advise using a 'proper' product too. Especially if as you know, you keep reapplying it every hour or so. Applying too much is not really a good idea
My sister had a slight allergic reaction though so try a sample area of skin first before applying all over your body. Only worry if you have extremely sensitive skin though.
Its cheap too so a good deal all round.
