Pros: inexpensive, nice screen, connected to my wireless w/out effort
Cons: customer service, clunky, quirky, rebate difficult
The Bottom Line: Customer service and tech support were both horrible. Machine seemed sluggish compared to others and came loaded w/ a bunch of software that I didn't need.

I spent several hours over the course of 6-7 calls during a 25 week period to collect the promised rebate. Needed tech support 4 times, shortest wait time so far has been 32 minutes. I also tried to get help through their website, but found support.dell.com unavailable twice.
My battery failed in 10 months.
System is really clunky, performing well below my other notebook w/ slower processor and same amount of memory.
The mousepad is also fussy, drawing the cursor towards the bottom of the screen.
The fan is hugely loud and the bottom of the machine gets extremely hot after the machine's been on for 1/2 hour.
The keyboard is nice. The DVD player works ok.
