Pros: Speedy; top-notch graphics and screens; built-in Wi-Fi; dual pointing devices; great keyboard.
Cons: Big and heavy; high-end models are expensive; no doors to protect PC Card slots.
The Bottom Line: No problems with the machine at all. I wish it would of came with USB 2.0 but other than that, this machine is very solid.

Yes, it is big and heavy... but it also the most powerful and feature filled laptop I have ever seen. After a couple of weeks with this I, a serious gamer, hadn't turned my desktop on once. I sold it, I have no need for it anymore. The GeForce4 in the laptop finally makes playing games on here a reality. The screen is breathtaking. Compared to other laptops I have used, it is much more sturdy feeling. All of these thin and light laptops feel soo breakable. I was also considering a Apple Powerbook, but decided to get a real computer rather than a pretty one. And, if 8 pounds is too heavy for you to carry around with you occasionally, vs a minimum of 5 or 6 for for the others, then the problem is yours and not the machine's. Go lift a few weights, it will do you good.
