Warning
I must warn you about this cough syrup that if you are on any drugs for depression psychiatric or emotional conditions or even Parkinson disease, you must stop taking this and see the doctors medical expertise in this area. One other thing if you are pregnant or breast-feeding make sure that you seek medical attention first. This stuff is only a cough suppressant. My review on this only comes with my personal experience of using this and my wife, myself, and my daughter did not take any of these other kind of drugs. Just prescription ones.
How Does This Stuff Work
If you are wondering how this stuff could work so well. Ill tell you what they told me, and basically, it is a time released formula that allows the medicine to be sent through your body over a 12 hour period. There is only one active ingredient in this medicine and it goes directly to the coffee center of your brain and suppresses the cough.
Experience
Ever have that problem of coughing to your brains were out bout flowing out of your ears. Well, my wife, my daughter and myself came across with this real bad cough. We just didnt know what to do about it. So in between taking all of that other over-the-counter medicines that did not work and wasting a lot of money. We just did not want to go to the doctors at this point. We went to our local drugstore, which in our case is Walgreens there is usually about one on every block in that neighborhood so we do not have far to go to find one. When we got inside Walgreens, we went to the pharmacist and asked him what he would recommend he told us that they have this stuff called Delsym. He told us that it was only a cough suppressant and nothing else. He showed us where it was at it was in the medicine isle with all the other cough medicines there was hundreds of them on the counter. So we grabbed the orange and white box and looked at it and read the directions. It did not seem much different than all the rest. The only thing that we noticed was that it was a little more on the expensive side. Instead of a couple dollars we were spending around $10 for one bottle.
Description
This stuff comes in a clear liquid form and smells like an orange plus it comes in a 3 ounce brown bottle with a childproof cap. The way to notice this stuff is when youre walking down the aisle the bright orange box kind of jumps out at you. The name is in big bold blue letters, that way, you cannot miss the box if you are looking for it. You can find it at Walgreens, CVS, or at any other drug store it in your neighborhood anyplace that usually sells aspirin or cough medicine will sell this.
Uses
My wife and I usually take 2 teaspoons of this every 12 hours. We do not go over four teaspoons in a 24-hour period. My daughter on the other hand is only seven years old show she only gets 1 teaspoon every 12 hours not to exceed 2 teaspoons 24 hours. Now if you have a child that is between the ages of two and six. You are only supposed to give them a half teaspoon every 12 hours not to exceed 1 teaspoon 24 hours. If your child is under the age of two you need to consult your doctor before you give this to them. This liquid contains no fever or pain reducing or relieving qualities at all. Remember to shake this very well before each use. Plus this is only a temporary relief situation. My wife has been using this for quite some time. When she first started coughing she took it right away, and then after she started feeling better she continued it for a few days, but it did the trick. I on the other hand have a problem with the cough. So I decided to try it and it did do the job in just a few days. I am very satisfied with the results that we have gotten from this cough medicine.

Final Recommendation
My final recommendation about this product is that its the best $10 that I have ever spent. I have tried several other different brands that have not worked as good as this stuff. So I would highly recommend this for anybody that has a persistent cough as long as it is not due to smoking or bronchitis or something in that line. After using this for a few weeks I would rate this one to 10 scale. As a 10, this is number one in my book.
