good stuff, I was looking at this vs the Ryobi. I had heard bad things about Deltas lower lines, but you make me doubt this commentary. thx, great review!

Nice to see someone else emphasize safety in their reviews.

I think for painted boards and horrorshow wood like teak, it is best to use a a surface sander(?) with coarse grit to get real close first. The tool in my mind looks a lot like this surface planer, but has a 12" wide sanding belt instead of rotating knives. Its proper name escapes me for the moment. I've seen one in the shop but never used it.)
