Pros: Excellent features. Great value.
Cons: No on-screen display. Controls are a little quirky. Poor manual.
The Bottom Line: Best I could find in the price range after deliberate research.

| pshepard1's Full Review: Denon AVR-1802 5.1 Channels Receiver |
I paid $365 plus shipping at SoundPros. I looked at similarly priced models from Pioneer, Onkyo, and Kenwood. Denon was the best value. Receiver has Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II. There are lots of inputs/outputs (although no component outputs but don't expect that in this price range). It also has Left / Right B speaker outputs to add a pair of speakers in another room plus some preamp speaker outputs for additional self powered speakers. I could not find any other receivers in this range with that kind of flexibility. Easy to use. Sounds great. Built like a rock. Looks good too.
