Pros: Active ingredient that can kill H1N1 virus, reduces pains from scrapes
Cons: Slight odor
For many years, my family has used Dermoplast Antibacterial Pain Relieving Spray to treat those frequent scrapes and minor burns that came up among two adventuring brothers. Now, imagine my surprise to realize that the active ingredient, Benzethonium Chloride USP has been shown to have the ability to kill the dangerous and sometimes deadly H1N1 virus that affects so many people from young to old.
Dermoplast has a wide range of uses because its main purpose is the numb the pain of an injury. You can use it as first aid to help prevent skin infection. The product can be used for temporary relief of pain and itching associated with sunburn, insect bites, minor cuts, scrapes, minor burns or minor skin irritations.

Dermoplast does have a slight medicinal odor to it. I usually turn on the vent in the room where I use it before any use to reduce the smell. However, the benefits of this product far outweigh this slight detractor.
You can purchase this product at many neighborhood pharmacies. I was able to pick up my can for just $5 but that was two years ago.
