Pros: Drinking it 30 minutes before exercise, does seem to enhance energy.
Cons: There were no appetite-suppressing benefits for me. A month's supply is pricey.
The Bottom Line: It lives up to its claim of increasing my energy but did not reduce or control my hunger.

| cntaur5's Full Review: Dexatrim Max 2O Maxium Weight Loss Powder |
I am usually on top of all the new weight loss products, but this time my wife discovered this several months ago. It's a new generation diet and energy drink that you make yourself using your own water (H20). Dexatrim Max 2O Maximum Weight Loss Powder comes in an easy to read box. In fact, I will use my personal experience and the information on the box to provide specific data and share the listed ingredients in this review. In my mind a drinkable do it yourself diet product like this was inevitable. There is a whole generation of dieters out there who have outgrown the traditional diet pills. In addition dealing with weight gain is not easy, once you've added muscle mass, you want to keep your body fat low to show off the gains you've made in the gym. My main reason for thing this supplement to keep my hunger at bay, and rev up my metabolism for my morning and evening workouts.
This is an Ephedra free drink that comes in two flavors, Lemon Splash and Mixed Berry. Each two tablet serving packs 50 mg of Caffeine, 100 mg of Eleuthero Root Extract, 90 mg of green tea leaf extract and chromium polynicotinate. The caffeine and green tea definitely amps up my workout and dulls muscle pain giving an initial rapid increase in energy. This product also contains the standard B vitamins group, including Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (B6), and Cyanocobalamin (B12). The effervescent tables are easy to break in half and dissolve quickly if you use water at room temperature. The tablets are stored in easy to use convenient packages for carrying. The directions are on the box and individual packages. "As a dietary supplement, dissolve two (2) tablets with approximately 16.9 oz. of water or use only one (1) tablet for a lighter tasting flavor." If you are dissolving the tablets into a full bottle of water, take a few sips before adding so it won't bubble or overflow.
The taste is average depending upon which flavor you prefer. I've used the lemon and berry flavor, and when dissolved in cold water, you get some real yucky condensation that builds at the top of the bottle resembling left over sludge. If you want this to dissipate you'll need to let the bottle warm to room temperature and shake it up. Then put it back in the refrigerator which can put you in a real time crunch if you are in a rush to work or the gym. Additionally, the energy results are temporary and you only get twenty (20) tablets in a box which bubbles down to only ten (10) drinks since two tablets are required for one 16.9 ounce bottle of water. Following the recommended guidelines means you can only drink three (3) bottles a day, so in approximately three (3) days you've drank $15.00 dollars worth of Dexatrim Max 2O Maximum. You will need at least two (2) boxes a week, and approximately nine (9) boxes for a one month supply totally a whopping $135.00 dollars. I can see why diets are a multibillion dollar weight loss industry. Sure I could take 1 tablet and stretch my supply, but then I wouldn't get the needed caffeine kick, obtained from two tablets.
Final thoughts:
In the beginning Dexatrim Max 2O Maximum worked great increasing my energy output and it keeps me feeling full for approximately one hour. I like the fact that you can break a couple of pills in half and plop them into a 16.9 ounce water of your choice. I did not experience any side effects or problems such as dizziness, headaches, or breathing problems during my 30 day usage. Regrettably, after completing the entire box, I am no closer to my weight loss goals then when I started taking this product. I probably should have decreased my overall caloric intake, but having a decent lunch hour and trying to eat right has always been a challenge with my work schedule.
Like most diet products Dexatrim makes the standard structure-function claims on this product. I'm giving this product 3 out of 5 stars as it lives up to its claim increasing my energy. Unfortunately, Dexatrim Max 2O Maximum did not live up to its claims in reducing or controlling my hunger, so it looses a few stars. Bottom line, the taste is not bad; the effervescent tablets break and mix well however I think there are some cheaper products on the market that will do the same thing. This product is available at local discount stores, pharmacies and other places where sports nutrition products are sold.
