Sue,
Yea... I would definitely stay away from any Italian food (or rare meat for that matter) while watching this.
You might want to be particularly careful when watching episode 10... entitled (appropriately enough) Seeing Red

I read this review, (Reply to this comment)
by millinocket, in Movies
immediately queued it up on Netflix and we're two shows into the first season. And ya hooked us! It took me the entire first episode to shake off the remnants of David from Six Feet Under (we only finished watching the final season this summer) but after that, fascinating.
I love, love, love the moral ambiguity that's everywhere, in every character.
My only problem with it is pizza. That's right - pizza. A household tradition of pizza with TV on DVD is going to have to go on hold until we watch something a little more....appetizing. Like Silence of the Lambs, or something light like that.

Very very delighted to see you're posting again, Shmoo! I raked my brain for more adjectives beginning with a 'd' to describe this deliciously and doggonedly good write up.... but my brain doesn't work all that well this early on a Sunday.
Anyway.... Welcome back! :o)
Cheers,
Smorg

It took me longer to read my notifier (with all the markup in it) than it did for you to write the title; but I like it. Ds are good. So is your 'pinion. -- Diane ;o)

hey wait a minute Fish... we could still be brothers. Countries and geography are meaningless... My dad worked for a U.S. company and travelled a lot.
....what's your blood type?

ahhh Di... I didn't do it because I was afraid the alliteration would go unnoticed, I did it simply because it looked cool.
Starkist don't want Tuna's with good taste...
wait... I'm explaining myself to someone who has no idea what a "taint" is..
THAT'S IT... I'M DONE WITH YOU!

I find Dexter much more intriguing than ... say... Hanibal Lector. He may lack a bit in culture but he more than makes up in amiability.

I'm not much of a serial watcher, myself.
Interesting review.
Just wanted to thank you for using those bold D's in your title, Shmooster. Otherwise, we would never have noticed the alliteration. LOL!

"Im the kind of dude that watches things over and over."
Dude - we could have been brothers if we lived closer and weren't from different countries... I am a repeat offender.. er.. viewer myself. Though right now I'm working my way through Volume 1 of Mr. Ed, who was neither a blood splatter expert or a serial killer, but a talking horse, of course.
Dexter sounds to be ambiDexterous, in that he's got a serious malfunction on one hand and a cuddly quality on the other. Invite him over for a summertime meal. Just keep him away from the barbecue fork and the German steak knives.
