Didax™ Unifix Mathematics Activities Book 1 authored by Don S Balka for Grades K – 2, Pre Counting, Early Counting, Addition Experiences is a collection of activities based in classroom usage of Unifix Cubes and related Unifix support materials.
Note: Unifix cubes are multicolored, interlocking, chunky, poly cubes designed to aid Little Learners in the four and up age group as they learn math and number sense concepts.
Unifix cubes symbolize components, link in one direction to remain fixed until taken apart. Used for teaching and reinforcement work for content areas of number sense, patterning, computation including addition and subtraction as well as multiplication and division, measurement, organizing, sorting, grouping, counting and more.
Packages of cubes are available in a diversity of colors and number of cubes.
Activities included in the Activities Book 1 authored by Don S Balka for Grades K – 2 are structured around fundamental core mathematical concepts taught during kindergarten through fourth grade levels.
Each action lists recommended grade levels center of attention, focus theory, tasking and skills, recommended number of students per activity, in addition to the materials needed for the task. Note: many activities are suitable for self-regulating use by students.
