Pros:tastes great on a hot day, not too expensive, zero calories, nice sized serving
Cons:not the best iced tea on the market
The Bottom Line: When you are in need of some tasty iced tea on a moments notice, the Diet Snapple Lemon Iced Tea is a recommended option.
I was a huge fan of Snapple as soon as I entered college, with my favorite flavors being their Iced Tea and Pink Lemonade. As I started to get older (and pack on the pounds) I needed to switch over to something with less calories, and now I primarily drink their Diet Snapple options. Most recently my favorite flavor has been the Diet Snapple Lemon Iced Tea. Typically I will pick it up in the bottle size, where they sell 4 bottles of the Diet Iced Tea at prices anywhere from $2.69 on sale up to around $3.99 when it isn't on sale. If I can find a really good deal, I will probably pick up more than just one 4-pack at a time, because I always know that I will be able to finish off the bottles in the long run. These are the 16 ounce bottle which I am talking about, but I also purchase the 20 ounce as well.
The 20 ounce bottles aren't glass like the 16 ounce bottles, but are instead made of plastic that is also sold in the 4-packs. They run about the same price typically, probably because the glass keeps the iced tea cooler in the refrigerator, and if I had to choose, I would say I prefer the glass bottles for that very reason. I am a big fan of iced teas, and I am always willing to shell out a few dollars to get something that I like, with the Diet Lemon Iced Tea definitely being one that I like. It's especially good when these teas have zero calories, because then I don't feel so bad if I drink a couple of bottles in a single day. The ingredients aren't so bad either, consisting of the tea, water, citric acid, aspartame, potassium citrate and natural flavors. Who really knows what the "natural flavors" are, but they taste good.
The Snapple brand of iced teas have a flavor that is pretty recognizable all by themselves, and something that could easily be picked out of a taste-test. The Lemon Iced Tea tastes very smooth as far as teas go, with a slight tart taste giving the impression of lemon, and also a slight aftertaste of the strong tea leaves. I find the tea to be very refreshing on a hot summer day, and it is one of those beverages where if you cannot quite finish it, you can pop it back in the refrigerator to finish later. They sell it in 32 and 64 ounce containers as well if you really want to load up on the tea, but I am pretty content most of the time with my smaller bottles. These bottles are better for the singular sittings anyways, and I have taken them to work before as well.
When it comes to Diet Snapple Lemon Iced Tea, I have to say that I am a pretty big fan. Yes, I think the normal iced tea tastes better, but I am not always successful at convincing myself that the liquid calories can fit into my diet. As it stands I would rather cheat the system a little bit, and enjoy a couple of Diet Snapple Iced Teas. They are very affordable at the supermarkets, available at gas stations everywhere, and are easy to transport in the car if you are planning on taking a trip. Sure, I will also agree that it's not the best iced tea on the market, but it is so accessible that it is the easy choice when you are in the mood for some quick iced tea on the go. If you are looking for some tasty Diet Iced Tea, I suggest taking a look at the Snapple Diet Lemon Iced Tea.
