Pros: Works well and immediately, non prescription, ok while breastfeeding, in short its magic !
Cons: Hard to find, few stores carry it & often sold out. Best to stock up.
The Bottom Line: IBS sufferers don't haveto be miserable anymore. Ads sound too good to be true, but this lives up to its promises. Now, get out there and reclaim your life !

| rjkatz's Full Review: Digestive Advantage Tablets for the Dietary Manage... |
I was in the car on a crowded LA freeway when I first heard the ad for digestive advantage. Yeah, I thought, wouldn't it be great if something like that actually existed? I thought of the years ( yes, years - about 12 of them) that I had spent avoiding things like camping, motorcycling, boating, water skiing, pretty much anything outside or in public because of my painful and embarrassing problem with IBS. Attacks came on suddenly, often times with less than 2 minutes notice that I had to find a bathroom NOW. ( I CAN tell you where all the best bathrooms in town are - the one in the parking garage at the Disney building is the most convenient) I thought about my new son and how am I ever going to have a normal life toting a baby around when I have to drop everything with no notice and run at least 4 or 5 days a week and sometimes stay gone for an hour or more. Oh, those stupid talk radio morons, they'll sell anything. And shame one them for preying on someone as desperate as an IBS sufferer.
It was a few days later, and in the midst of another attack that I asked my husband if he had heard the ad. Honey, what was the name of that stuff? He didn't know. I sat by the radio all the next day and when I finally heard the ad, I scribbled down "digestive advantage" and ran to the local pharmacy. I returned home sad because I had been to several drugstores, and no one had ever heard of the product I was looking for. A simple web search and call to the Ganeden company told me that Long's Drugs carries their product, and also that it was totally natural and safe for nursing moms. ( Disclaimer: I am NOT a doctor or a lactician. Never try any medication without first asking a medical professional) I have since also found the product at Ralph's pharmacy, but they keep it in the back, so you have to know to ask for it.
I went to Longs, bought a box of the pills for about $11 and went home to try them. They come in individually wrapped foil packs - great for glove box, purse, pocket, or whatever, which is great because now I am sure that I will never be without them. They are chewable, and the taste is not offensive. The instructions said to use a double dose for the first few days, which may be why some people get side effects, but I don't remember any. The drug works by replenishing the supply of good bacteria in the intestines. Makes sense, because I have had a LOT of antibiotics. Within a few days I was completely better and at this point I can honestly say that I have never felt better. Sure, I have occasional relapses, but I would honestly say that 99% of my problem is gone. The other night I even celebrated my birthday with a glass of chianti which was previously one of the worst offenders.
I could never thank the folks over at Ganeden enough for giving me my life back. And I am sorry for all the bad stuff I thought about the talk radio people.
