Funny -- I always thought "dim sum" was what you got on your calculator's LED display when the batteries ran low.

I'm glad to hear that. Otherwise I'd be in an awful lot of trouble. ;) This year I got three chocolate cookbooks and a caramel cookbook with gift money. *grin*

I'm willing to be confident in this case and say that I think it really wasn't just taste or preparation--the overall quality of the recipes isn't as uniformly amazing as those in some of the other dim sum cookbooks we tried. I think I did go into a little more detail in the review itself.

can't prepare as well as someone else might, for whatever reason.
