Let me begin by saying, I am a Registered Nurse with years of experience. Nothing you take is going to get completely rid of all your cold symptoms except time. Dimetapp is a good medicine to help you wait out a cold. It relieves runny and stuffed up noses for approximately 3 hrs. To me, this three hours is heaven sent when you haven't been able to breath normal for awhile. The grape flavor is better than most brands, it also leaves less of an after taste.
Although Dimetapp is ,in my opinion, a little on the expensive side. When you can't breath and your nose is raw it's worth the price.
Dimetapp combined with Ibuprofen, rest and good nutrition is the key.
