| KSMiller's Full Review: Dimetapp Elixir |
My daughter occasionally has allergy related asthma attacks. This past Sunday night she had one of these attacks. With these attacks she does not breathe well and that is when I give her the prescription medicine Albuterol Syrup. She takes this medicine to control her wheezing and coughing spells.
On this particular night though, her breathing and wheezing was not responding to this treatment. Every breath she took was a moan just trying to get air into her lungs. I ended up taking her to the emergency room for treatment. They treated her for her breathing difficulties by giving her a breathing treatment using the Albuterol Inhalant medication.
Since this attack of hers seemed to be allergy induced, they asked me if I wanted them to give her some "DIMETAPP ELIXIR". She had the symptoms of allergy along with this attack. She had the watery eyes, and stuffy/runny nose. I told them yes by all means give her some.
I have given my daughter "DIMETAPP ELIXIR" before, but I had never really noticed that it helped her until this night. Needless to say the next morning I went to the pharmacy and bought another bottle of "DIMETAPP".
"DIMETAPP ELIXIR" worked great for my daughter. She was given the dose at the hospital, and within 15 minutes (length of time to drive home) she had relief from all her nasal discomforts and with the breathing treatment she was able to rest.
"DIMETAPP ELIXIR" is used to treat the following symptoms:
Nasal congestion
Hayfever and other respiratory allergies
Runny/stuffy nose
Sneezing
Itchy/watery eyes
