I purchased this medicine when my Pediatrician recommended it for my daughter's cold symptoms. This is the only cold/allergy medicine that he recommends.
I have used this medicine myself, so I can honestly say that it works great. It has a great grape taste. If you are looking for medicine that your kids will not run away from when they see it coming....buy this great grape tasting medicine. My three children never mind taking Dimetapp. It is very easy to give to a small baby with a medicine dropper. I have tried giving my babies bad tasting medicine from a dropper and they have spit it right back at me. They have never spit Dimetapp back at me. The grape taste of Dimetapp is very pleasant.
Within 5-10 minutes of taking Dimetapp, there is a noticable difference in my children's symptoms. Dimetapp does a good job clearing up a runny nose. This medicine makes all of my children drowsy, but not overly tired. I can give it to them before school if they need it.
I highly recommend Dimetapp Elixir. It has been around for years (it used to be available by prescription only) and always does it's job.
