User Rating: Excellent
Pros:Dinosaur available in 2 color combinations, weatherproof, lid is lightweight, multi-purpose
Cons:Heavy when filled, colors fade with time (unsure how long of time)
The Bottom Line: Great for any kid who loves the sand. Strong and durable, all you need is one of those cheap $10 pools next to it for a day at the beach!
We bought this for my now daughter for her 4th birthday. She's now 5 and still loves her sandbox, and so do her friends. :)

We decided on the purple and yellow dinosaur since my daughter loves purple. We purchased it at the local Toys R' Us for around $70. The sand is sold seperately and since the box holds up to 300 lbs. of sand, we bought (I think) 6 bags of sand, 50 lbs. each. This will give you plenty of sand to play in, but not enough to overflow the sandbox. The dimensions are 55"L x 52"D x 18"H. Box size is 51.75"L x 10.75"D x 47.50"H. The 4 legs of the dinosaur are flat on top so as to provide a place to sit, though mostly for kids unless your an adult with a rather small backside. :) As I said before, the box holds up to 300 lbs. of sand, not included. The lid is thin and lightweight. Our 4 year old was able to lift it off and put it back on by herself. Bonus The box can also be used as a swimming/wading pool and has a plug at the bottom to drain the water from it.
I highly recommend that however you choose to use this box, that you put it somewhere that you want to keep it. With 300 lbs. of sand in it, it's not going to be easy to move!
My Two Cents
My daughter would go hours playing in this, and anything that can entertain a toddler for that long has my full backing! :)
A few things I did notice:
1) She alone has plenty of room, but the box can only fit maybe 3 children, maximum.
2) Driving around, I've seen quite a few of these in yards, but with faded colors. However, I don't know how long these people have had theirs. We've had ours for one year, in full sun, and it's still got it's strong colors.
3) It's really constructed well to keep out all weather types. We've had some major downpours, and high snows, and everytime I swore we'd open the lid to find it flooded, or in some other state, but every time the sand was nice and dry. Even after water HAD gotten in (from the lid being left off)and we put the lid on wet sand, the sand somehow dried out very well and was back to normal in no time. High winds also were no threat to the lid blowing off. However, ours is on an outdoor patio type area and I can't guarentee that the winds there are as strong as the winds in the open yard.
