Cons: have to buy from a consultant, shipping can be pricey

My son loves Lego toys, but unfortunately due to poor fine motor skills and difficulty in staying "on task", most Lego kits get put together once and then boxed up.
His frustration is great as he tries to manuever tiny pieces and snap them into place, all the while trying not to loosen any previous snapped pieces.
Once the piece is completed, it is not playable, due to pieces falling off because he can not seem to get them on quite right.
What is a mom to do?

She finds better toys, or at least I did.
A friend hosted an Discovery Toys party. I had heard of DT before, but all their toys seemed to so pricey and so schoolish that I had never taken much interest in the company.
However at this party, the consultant had the newest DT toys, which included the Ocean Discovery Duo of both the Lobster and Crab Navigator. I fell in love!!
The Lobster Navigator comes complete with 2 men, a large Lobster shaped boat and a smaller submarine type boat, also a sea plant.
The Lobster Navigator is bright red with black trim. The main part of the boat is put together already for you, so all we had to do was attach 6 legs, 2 pinchers and put the small sub together.
The pieces went together so easily!! Even grandma's arthritic hands could get these pieces together but the best news is, once the pieces are attached they stay put.
So once the Lobster was together, my son immediatly could begin playing without worrying it would fall apart in his hands.
Most pieces were of average size and there were no itsy bitsy pieces like in Legos.
We soon found both the Lobster and Crab Navigators had interchangeable parts for even more fun!
By following the directions, it took my son only approx 30 mins tops to put both Navigators together. But once they were completed, and he had showed them off, he played for hours with them.
He continues to play with them often, and the Lobster Navigator has held up very well. The color is still bright and the pieces still snap in place as easily today as they did 2 years ago when it was new.
Although, I paid $14.99 plus shipping on the Navigator, after seeing my son's eyes light up with pride, and his enjoyment of playing with his creation, I consider this a wise investment.
I cant wait for a new Discovery Toys Ocean Discovery Navigator!!
