All three of my girls love Disney movies.  I love them too, because I remember watching them when I was a girl.  Of course, we didn’t even have the movie on videotape for my younger years, so I had to be content with seeing the movies if/when they came to the theatres every few years.  Boy, kids these days, with their DVDs…

In any event, I purchased this Jasmine costume at the Disney Store a couple of years ago because it was on clearance.  They only had XXS and XS, so I went with the larger XS (which corresponds with size 4).  My oldest daughter wore the costume a couple of times, but didn’t show much interest in it. 

One of my younger daughters (I have twins) has shown an interest in the Jasmine costume.  She loves to dress up in the costume, and when I ask her if she wants to watch a show, she will ask for “Jasmine” (Aladdin). 

This costume consists of two pieces: a top and a pair of pants.  Both pieces are a vivid blue-green color.     

The top is cropped.  It measures 7.25 inches from the collar to the bottom.  My oldest daughter is very tall for her age, and when she wore the costume, there were inches of belly that showed.  My younger daughter is on the petite side, so the top almost comes down to her waist.  The top has shoulder straps and long sleeves made out of a gauzy material.  The top is decorated with a medallion with Jasmine’s picture, and there are gold coins made out of sequins dangling from the front of the top. 

The pants measure 21.5 inches from waistband to cuff.  The pants are a loose style, and they are made of the same gauzy material as the sleeves on the top.  The waistband is gold, and it complements the gold coins on the top.  There is a little “skirt” that goes over the pants, and the cuffs are elasticized. 

My younger daughter is on the smaller side for the size range for the Jasmine costume.  I would like nothing more than to provide you with accurate measurements, but every time I approach her with the pink measuring tape, she screams and runs away.  She’ll sit there and use the measuring tape as a jump rope, but refuses to be measured.  

My daughter was 34.5 inches tall in December, and I know she’s had a growth spurt since then.  She is probably about 36 inches tall.  As I have mentioned, the top covers most of her belly, and the pants are the tiniest bit long.   This is a nice costume to wear now, and there is plenty of room to grow. 

The Disney Store Jasmine costume was purchased at the Disney Store.  Although the picture might show a child wearing accessories such as a crown and shoes, the costume itself consists of just the top and pants.  Any coordinating accessories are sold separately. 
Also, this costume can only be hand washed.  This is frustrating.  I wish they would make fancy princess costumes that could go in the washing machine.  It would make my life a whole lot easier.  Nevertheless, the costume holds up well.  We haven’t had any problems with ripping or staining.    

I would absolutely recommend the Princess Jasmine costume to other people. My little daughter just loves her Jasmine costume, and she wants to wear it every day.  She thinks that when she puts the costume on that she becomes Princess Jasmine.  She also likes to watch “Jasmine” while wearing the costume.  This Jasmine costume has brought my daughter so much joy and happiness.  It is absolutely one of her favorite things.  If you have a child who loves Jasmine, this costume is a nice addition.
