When the power goes out or you are on an annual pilgrimage around the neighborhood for candy, having a flashlight that fits in child-sized hands can be quite useful. Luckily, Energizer's Eveready Disney Princess Flashlight was designed for those little hands.

The Disney Princess Flashlight is basically the girlie version of the Lightning McQueen Flashlight, measuring about 6-7 inches long, with a six inch cord hanging off the bottom, so kids can wrap it around their wrists for safe-keeping. The knot of the cord is encased by a pink plastic jewel, which is nice because it keeps the cord from being un-knotted and pulled out of the flashlight.

The body of the flashlight is rather thin, so that my two year old's hand can fit all the way around it. The body is white with head-shots of six Disney Princesses lining the sides. The bulb area is pink, with eight little pink "jewels" lining the outer rim. When lit, the light shines out of these jewels, in addition to coming out of the face of the flashlight.

Operation of the flashlight is very simple. It has a slider switch that clicks easily into place. On the side of that switch there is a button that can be pushed for temporary light (it shines only for as long as the button is depressed). The Disney Princess Flashlight requires two AA batteries, which are included at purchase (Energizer batteries, of course).

Our Experience
We have had this flashlight for a little over a year. In that time, we have probably used it about four or five times and we have had to change the battery once. For the most part, it has worked well for us. The light isn't terribly bright, but it can keep you from walking into a wall when it is dark out.

We purchased this flashlight at the same time as the Lightning McQueen one, and the flashlights have been used at the same time in the same capacity. Since the Lightning McQueen one no longer works, I have my doubts as to how much longer the Disney Princess Flashlight will be functional.

For now, this flashlight works fine and the girls love it, so it gets four stars. If it goes kaput in the near future I will come back and change it.
