The Bottom Line: An affordable and fashionable booster seat for girls!
My 6 year old daughter is extremely petite, as in 39 pounds petite. She's been in a booster carseat for a while now, but in our primary vehicle aka "the mom van" she rides in a booster seat with a back on it. For my husband's vehicle, which is a small sedan - she'd been riding in a hand-me-down Graco booster that had been her brothers. However, since carseats - like milk- have an expiration, I decided it was best to retire the Graco booster and get her one of her own. She insisted on pink, so I set out to to my Target and then later, Wal-mart in search of a pink booster. There are no shortage of pink boosters normally. However, as my luck would have it - none that day. I decided to try K-Mart, where there it was.. the Disney Princess No Back Booster seat. At around $20, I didn't hesitate.
This is a backless booster meaning it is basically the "last step" in booster seats before a child graduates from carseats. Being that my child is extremely petite, she will likely have to sit in a booster for some time to come. This seat is rated for children 30-100 pounds. This seat must be used with a shoulder-lap belt combo seat belt and is only a forward facing seat. It is suggested for children over the age of 4 years.
Minimal assembly is required when you take this small seat out of the box. Assembly includes putting on the seat and arm covers and snapping in the arm rests and cupholder. I am very impressed with the soft padding of this seat, and my daughter reports that it is extremely comfortable. She likes the retractable cupholder, but was quick to point out that it only has one and not two like her other seat does! A newer model of this Disney Princess backless booster has not only 2 cupholders but also swivel arm rests. The model we have has fixed armrests, which suit us just fine.
The footprint of this carseat is small and it doesn't take up very much space in the vehicle. It only weighs 6 pounds so it is easy to move it from car to car, or to store it in the trunk of the vehicle when not in use.
The seatcover and pattern on this seat is pale pink with Sleeping Beauty on it. It is removable for washing and washes well (air dry).
My daughter is happy with her pink carseat and rides happily in it on a regular basis. My only fear is that she will outgrow the Disney Princesses before she is at the age to outgrow riding in a carseat! I'm sure sooner than later she will want to ride in a less flamboyant seat.
If you are looking for a pink princess themed booster, than look no further than the Disney Princess No Back Booster seat. The seat is sold at K-Mart & Sears and the brand is "Disney".
