Pros:6 pairs, Great Price, Girly shoes!
Cons:case is really not a decent storage solution
The Bottom Line: They don't come in my size!
Shortly after learning how to walk, my baby daughter fell in love with shoes, all kinds - especially heels. So, no surprise come Christmas she received this Disney Princess Shoe Case from CDI Toys to add to her dress-up fun.
I picked this case of shoes up at Costco for $14.99. Inside you get 6 pair of Disney Princess dress-up shoes, so its a great value. For some reason girls dress-up attire is seriously overpriced with a single pair of princess shoes going for $5 or more.
Inside the clear plastic case they are sold in (which has a handle on top), they are each in their own clear plastic shoe box. While this may be a good storage solution for some I knew the plastic cases would be too tricky and frustrating for my daughter to access her shoes. So we just tossed all 6 pair of them into her dress-up trunk for easy access. Six pairs of shoes may seem like too many. But, when other children are here playing there are enough to go around. Besides, can a girl ever have too many shoes?
The shoes are slip-ons, like mules with a small heel in the back (roughly 1.5 high). They are all plastic and have an open toe that is beautifully decorated with various ribbon, bows, feathers, glitter, or sequins and adorned with a heart and a picture of a Disney princess: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, and Jasmine. Of course the shoes are different colors depending on the princess (pink, red, yellow, purple, or blue) so your little princess can coordinate or wear their favorite princess. Mine, has also been known to mix-and-match.
These shoes are recommended for ages 3 and up. My daughter is 2 and they are a little big on her, but she still loves them. As for the exact size, they are about 7 ˝ long. For reference, my son who is 6 manages to fit his foot in them just barely (he takes a size 12 shoe and weighs 50 pounds!). My princess, however is only in a toddler size 6 shoe and her foot slides into the front portion with about half of the shoe unfilled. Still, she manages to walk around in them (and even has gone up and down stairs
SCARY) just fine. The shoes do have non-skid grip on the soles to make them slightly less slippery. Despite the fact that the shoes are quite large on her, she loves them.
Hey, a girls gotta accessorize.. right?
