Do you have a sleepy mermaid at home?

Pros:May help some young children who are not yet dry at night.
Cons:Probably not much help for older children who wet.
The Bottom Line: Reading books about bedwetting is a good place to start helping a child to overcome bedwetting and "Little Mermaids" seems perfectly suited for 3.5 and 4 year old girls.
If a tree falls in the forest ... If a little mermaid wets her bed, who would know? This is a very nicely illustrated book written from the perspective a 4 year old girl who is having trouble staying dry at night. The story is written in rhyme with slightly British phrasing. The tone is soft and mildly fantastic. I think it would make good bed time reading and I am sure that is what it is intended to be.
This is a story of how a "clever" little girl named Cecelia suddenly keeps her bed dry one night after a dream (or was it!)about an encounter with a little mermaid.
Raising awareness about night-time wetting is helpful in getting a child to remain dry. Doing so just prior to bedtime is even better. I am sure this book can be of great assistance to many children who are ready to be dry but just need a little nudge, or those who are beginning to feel a little anxious about their inability to stay dry at night.
Since this book is geared toward girls, I would suggest that "Dry Days Wet Nights" might be a good alternative for little boys.
Unfortunately, according to the National Kidney Foundation about 15 percent of five year olds will need more help than these two books can provide. Those children who suffer from enuresis will need a more aggressive approach to stopping their wet nights.
